To: nopardons

Good points, nopardons. I saw one of the frequent posters around here who loves to argue on another thread claim that Rudy won the straw poll by spending a lot of $$.

Pretty much anyone paying attention knew that wasn't correct, but there's no sense arguing with these people.

...LOL....I have better luck yelling at the dog then arguing the facts with some here.....emotional reasoning begats their "facts".....all else is nonsense ... too bad they don't realize it is "they" that sound like liberals with those tactics...

You have been very gracious tonight with respect to the Hunter showing, and that is certainly my sense of how a substantial front-runner's supporter ought to approach things. Thank you.

With respect to the amount of money and time spent by the contestants, I think it's fair to state that no amount of money at this stage of the campaign could realistically be expected to overcome Giuliani's household name status. For me, as others have noted, the McCain showing is the story of the night-- he is, IMHO, facing serious trouble. He too has a trademark name, and I'm wondering if Hunter might have taken some of McCain's thunder tonight. But it's so early.
