Kerry and his pals aren't really socialists, they are fascist statists, who want government to control business in exchange for legislative favoritism, and offer socialist type benefits to the people in exchange for power and control. They don't offer any type of collective ownership by the people, quite the opposite.

And that is what national healthcare is about. If that passes they can tell you how much and what to eat, drink, and how much to exercise else they won't provide you health care. The anti-smoking crusade is part of that, based on faulty statistics and emotional appeal. The same with obesity and trans fat.
With environmental laws they can control businesses and private property (the same as they do by telling us what to build through eminent domain) and with health care laws they can control what the individual does. In other words, they will have total control over us under the guise of "doing what is good for the children."
