Damn, meg88. How much money has Rudy raised? How hard did he try in SC?
Compare that to Hunter's limited resources.
YOU RUDY BOOSTERS STILL THINK YOU CAN WIN IT ALL WITHOUT US? OR EVEN WIN? WE ARE JUST GETTING STARTED.

Amazing that Rudy wins among diehard conservatives. Based on what is written here everyday - he should have come in last - not first!

Hunter is the most conservative among them, so I'm not surprised that he got a lot of votes. But it's also interesting that despite being known as a liberal, Rudy won there. If Rudy can win in South Carolina, it means he can win in anywhere else too. We'll see if Hunter can win or get #2 in CT or NH.

This is a good night for Ducnan Hunter, and I agree with everything he stands for except for one thing. His "nanny state" mentality (aka cosponsor of H.R. 4777, Goodlate-VA) is troubling and could be a problem. JMHO

Just saw this posted at that website from South Carolina -
Hunter drops two S.C. advisers
Republican presidential candidate and California congressman Duncan Hunter has dropped two top South Carolina advisers a week after they were appointed because of their inflammatory statements about immigrants and religious minorities.
Hunter spokesman Roy Tyler confirmed Thursday that former GOP lieutenant governor candidate Henry Jordan and Horry County Auditor Lois Eargle would no longer serve as campaign co-chairs.
Eargle, speaking Feb. 22 at a news conference, said an illegal immigrant with three children came to her office the day before asking for free legal help for an abused child.
I told her the best thing for her to do was to get back to Mexico, Eargle said then.

If Duncan Hunter's 2nd place finish is real, then there is no doubt that that is the real news of last night.
A true conservative has jumped into the top tier of those running.
He beats Rudy hands down with military, foreign policy, and US government experience. Hunter is a veteran, airborne Ranger.
He is the man of the hour!
And he doesn't murder innocent babies. He would also put California in play. We know that Hillary will take NY from Giuliani.

Glad to see Hunter do so well. I donated a small amount of money to his campaign a few weeks ago and received a nice promotion package (for lack of a better term) earlier this week. Buttons, bumperstickers, fliers, etc. Put the bumpersticker in the back window of my car.
