That ‘3rd party’ candidate is Fred Thompson, and he could win.
He might, but this Thompson supporter hopes he doesn’t consider that option. Fred can win the GOP nomination handily, and also whip the stuffing out of any Democratic nominee.
I honestly believe if anyone runs a 3rd party candidate, right or left- we’ll see an electoral college nightmare (making 2000 look like a picnic) and a likely win by whoever the Democrats have running.
Fred won’t run 3rd party, he’s either going to win the GOP nomination, or we’ll lose with Rudy McRomney.
