According to the polls today, those ‘Reagan Democrats’ are willing to give Rudy a look. http://www.rasmussenreports.com/Political%20Tracking/Presidential%20Match-Ups/April%202007/Giulianivs.ObamaThompson20070425.htm
Where does the poll say that a majority of socially conservative Democrats who know Rudy’s positions on social issues have indicated that they will vote for him? It doesn’t, does it? I didn’t think so.
Rudy can’t carry Ohio, West Virginia, Missouri, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, and several other states that President Bush carried in 2000 and 2004, and he would not add Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin or Minnesota to the GOP column either. *Maybe* Giuliani can carry New Jersey, Oregon and Washington State, but that won’t nearly be enough to make up for his losses in socially conservative states.
