The poll asked FReepers who they would support in a head-to-head primary race, and EVEN WITH A STRICT CONSERVATIVE ON THE TICKET, only 60% would give the conservative support in the primary. How many of that 60% would be OK with Rudy if he got the nomination anyway? Sounds to me as if plenty of them would. It's much, much worse than I ever imagined it could be. Even on the anti-abortion threads here, a sure draw for religious conservatives, we're getting pro-"choice" posts . . . not from the usual suspects, but from FReepers who have been lurking around here a long while, but now feel emboldened to speak their mind.
Look at the comments on the YouTube site following the Rudy video. The very first one says this:
He is just AWESOME! Giuliani is the only Republican EVERYONE can vote for. You can choose not to have an abortion, but you can't choose not to be killed by a jihadist. Giuliani for '08!
I think that may be a quote from FreeRepublic.com. UGH!!!
