That's a great poem. I lived in Arkansas for six years, and I saw then-Gov. Clinton three times. The last time that I saw him give a speech, in Oct. 1988, I sat in the front row and wore four republican buttons. He stared at me and frowned. After the speech, he jumped off the stage, right in front of me, and I thought he wanted to debate me. He didn't talk to me. He talked to the pretty 20 year-old blonde lady who sat next to me.
I've met with Perry and Patterson a couple times and helped L.D. Brown with a booktour when he came to L.A. several years ago. At the FReeper Inaugural Ball in 2005, I had the pleasure of broadcasting on Rightalk Radio and interviewing Gov. Huckabee.
LOL I have a picture of a buddy of mine at a Clinton rally... My friend is at the very front of a crowd of people in a recieving line where Clinton is shaking hands. The picture shows my friend standing SQUARELY in front of Clinton with his hand extended nearly to Clinton's chest.... while Clinton leans waaaaay around him to shake hands with an attractive blond woman.
