Istanbul, 28 Feb. (AKI) - Retired Iranian general and former deputy defence minister, Alireza Asghari, has gone missing during a private visit to Turkey, Arab and Iranian newsreports said on Wednesday. Asghari arrived in the Turkish city on a flight from Damascus and after checking into the Hotel Ghilan has not been seen since, the reports said.
Asghari is a former general in the hardline Pasdaran or Revolutionary Guard, and served in the cabinet of former Iranian president Mohammad Khatami.
Baztab, an internet site linked to the Pasdaran, reported that Ashgari may have been kidnapped.
Baztab recently reported that Asghari's name was one of 20 belonging to Pasdaran officers which appeared on what the site said was a CIA hit-list.
Or....?
Fyi.
oh my my
OH OH something major up LOL!
Maybe he was just a CIA "person of interest".
No wonder the Bush admin. seems "happy" to have Iran come to the Iraqi security conference...they've "got" an Iranian general.?.?.?
Could be a CIA plot or, better yet, a CIA coup. The general has credentials suitable for leadership in Islamic Iran.
I hope he's not being tortured!
OMG Monk they show that episode on late night hours still funniest I remember LOL!
Hmmmmmmm, is right! BTTT
Nancy and Harry will probably contact President Bush tomorrow and demand to know his whereabouts, vis press conference.
The CIA doesn't have hit lists. There are probably quite a few people who have a reason not to like this guy.
Hmm... An Iraqi general in exile disappeared while in house arrest in Denmark just before Gulf War II.
Do we have a similar scenario playing out for Iran?
Persian ping
"Nancy and Harry will probably contact President Bush tomorrow and demand to know his whereabouts, vis press conference."

Now if we could only figure out a way to put the "tied up" Iranian general in Nancy's apartment or basement and blame her for promoting illegal immigration.
Hopefully, we had a hand is his walkabout.
He's taking an all expense paid, surprize vacation in Cuba at Club Gitmo.
Gotta love this. My guess: We've got him and that dude isn't getting any shuteye for about a week!
Mossad...
