Terri Schiavo's Husband Gets FEC Warning Over PAC Filing Problems

Coral Gables, FL (LifeNews.com) -- After the euthanasia death of Terri Schiavo, her former husband Michael wanted to exact revenge against the pro-life members of Congress who supported a measure allowing Terri's parents to take their efforts to save her life to federal court.

He formed a PAC to get involved in various political campaigns, but it's running afoul of FEC reporting requirements.

Schiavo was very involved in the 2006 election season.

In Pennsylvania, he attacked pro-life Sen. Rick Santorum -- calling him "the only U.S. senator who flew to Florida and interfered with Terri Schiavo's private family tragedy."

He backed candidates for Congress there and also flew to Colorado and Connecticut to campaign for other candidates and headline fund-raisers on their behalf.

What Schiavo hasn't done is properly log his political activities with the federal government.

Schiavo's political action committee, known as TerriPAC, had to amendment its October 2006 quarterly report twice after the FEC found it did not fully report its fundraising and spending. TerriPAC also amended its November 1 pre-general election report twice as well.

In total, the FEC has sent Schiavo's PAC four letters requesting additional or more accurate information since December 1.

The latest letter says Schiavo can't ask for an extension and mentions a possible audit.

"Adequate responses received [by March 19] will be taken into consideration in determining whether audit action will be initiated," the FEC wrote Michael on February 16. "Requests for extension of time will not be considered."

"Failure to provide an adequate response by this date may result in an audit of the committee," the FEC wrote, adding that "enforcement action" may be taken if Schiavo doesn't respond in time.

While Schiavo has engaged in politics, Terri's parents and family have worked full-time for their foundation which seeks to help disabled patients and their families obtain appropriate health care and treatment.

I would love to see Schiavo go to prison for this.

He'll never go to prison. He's a hero to the left and to the libertarians who want to elect Giuliani. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the Cabinet.

I'm sure the Arkansas mafia will be needing a lot of new "enforcers" over the next couple of years.

This worthless murdering bastard! Would have been a good Nazi or SS-Mann.

Pray for Terri's soul. Except, she's in Heaven now. Perhaps she now prays for those who love her.

Now, see, this is what happens when you think with other parts of your body than your brain.

I still say that Mike and George Felos would be perfect to play the creepy husband and the even creepier lawyer in a Lifetime movie about the Schiavo case, if it weren't for the fact that they actually are those guys.

Compare pictures of Michael Schiavo with pictures of Josef Stalin when he was younger (pre-WWII) sometime.

It is spooky. I don't have any beliefs in reincarnation, but this could be used as an argument.

His political action in recent time indeed shows just how
spitefully vindictive this character truly is. The hell
he put Terri's family through is not likely to be
forgotten. Be careful Michael; people in Hell want iced
water too....JJ61

Michael Schiavo seems to be all about hate and hurting others. Unfortunate that Terri's case was never adequately investigated, as Mark Fuhrman pointed out.

They couldn't bring the murdering Al Capone to justice- EXCEPT for his income tax evasion conviction.

Maybe this will be the only way to exact justice from Mike-the-Murderer Schiavo.

Fuhrman was able to "redeem" himself by being involved in the first case where a member of the extended Kennedy crime family was actually brought to justice.
