Giuliani Accused Of 'Notorious Adultery'
NEW YORK, June 21, 2002
(AP) Former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's estranged wife has filed for divorce, citing adultery.
The filing by Donna Hanover, 52, came more than a year and a half after Giuliani filed to divorce her, citing cruel and inhuman treatment.
Hanover's lawyer, Helene Brezinsky, said her client rejected the grounds on which Giuliani's divorce was based.
"If there's going to be a divorce, let's have the truth about why Rudy's open and notorious adultery," she said.
Giuliani spokeswoman Sunny Mindel replied: "There is no purpose in responding to this mudslinging."
Hanover's filing came June 10 in State Supreme Court. During the last months of Giuliani's tenure, his girlfriend, Judith Nathan, became the city's de facto first lady and appeared with him at official functions.
Meanwhile, the judge hearing the divorce agreed Thursday to increase the amount Giuliani pays to support his two children with Hanover Andrew, 16, and Caroline, 12 and for other expenses.
The amount will be raised to $24,000 a month from $1,800 a month. The judge said the change was justified by Giuliani's own admission that this year his income from speaking engagements alone will exceed $8 million.
Hanover had asked for nearly $1 million a year in child support and other expenses.

Youthful indiscretions? The article posted in regard to his adultery was written just five years ago when he was in his 50s!
Further, there is another report today published in Politico and posted here that provided proof that Giuliani had appointed liberal judges to the judiciary while in office in New York City.
He in recent weeks has openly supported the idea of man-made global warming and defended gun-control laws.
If Giuliani was running as a Democrat, he's guessing you'd be one of the first people pointing out how liberal he is.
Conservatives can't win by electing liberal Republicans to office. Four years of a Democrat is better than eight years of a RINO and/or another Democrat.
I thought that would piss off someone. Perhaps I should have put it in quotes so you would know I was tweaking you.

Any judges he appointed would have been triers of fact. They would not be determining what the law was. They would be limited by what NY state and Federal courts say the law is. Besides the way you throw the term "liberal" around, anyone to left of Attila the Hun would qualify, probably even including George Bush.

I didnt hear the global warming comment but Bush made one of those as well. It's possible that man does play a role in global warming. I dont believe it but its possible. The scientists that support our position, dont deny this fact. That is one of the reasons they are continuing to do research. It's not just to proof the Dims wrong. To deny any chance that climate change is influenced by man (or the opposite) is to take a "religious" position, not one based on science. It also marginalizes the candidate as someone who believes wacky denial stories like the earth is flat, Man didnt land on the Moon, the Holocaust didnt occur, etc. Its much better to be open to new facts but to put the global warming scientists to the test when you are in power.

Giuliani is not a liberal. Saying it so, doesnt make it so. There was an excellent article discussing this in the Wall Street Journal yesterday. Other than your social issues and your total intolerance of any gun control whether it be Howitzer or 22, whether it be sale to psychopaths (because they need protection too, it's tough living in a box in the alley). On issues of taxes, defense, limiting government involvement in our lives Giuliani is much closer to Barry Goldwater than to your proverbial liberal. And as for your theory about its better to elect a Dem, you thought that wilth Clinton too and look what happened. We got eight years of Clinton and except for the SCOTUS we might have had sixteen.
