In 2004 I attended the First Marine Division reunion in D.C. The World War II Memorial was brand new then. I had the honor of visiting the Memorial with two World War II vets. That was in August and the Memorial was crowded with dignified old vets and their families. It was very uplifting.
I can't imagine this national treasure swarming with geriatric bull dikes and their freaky followers.

"All DC War Memorials At Risk - Code Pink "Taking" The WWII Memorial - Code Pink"
"While at the Navy Memorial, Code Pink's "women" dressed the Lone Sailor statue in Code Pink garb"
Serious question - How are "war monuments" at risk? Just what do you think "they" will do? Are there not Park and City police there to keep order, especially during a very well advertised protest gathering?
How could the monuments be in any real danger?
Yes, I see the picture, someone placed a silly foam hat of some sort on a statue. - Not much of a threat is it?
Listen, I support the gathering and would encourage everyone who can possibly attend to do so, it would be truly inspiring to see half a million there.
But isn't the whole "protect the monuments" just a bit of a stretch?
If there really is a true threat, wouldn't it make a great deal of sense to alert the authorities?

2007 is the 40th anniversary of the historic 1967 anti-war march to the Pentagon during the Vietnam War.Ah, good old leftists. Still living in the 60s and wondering why they aren't on the forefront of America.

Thanks for posting that picture (I think)...
I am SO disappointed that I won't be able to get to Washington in March..
I would LOVE to meet up with a Pinko lady and take her on myself.

Part of the reason I moved to the NYC area was to be able to do these things. My own busy life (as we all have) made me hem and haw a little, but Mr. hilaryrhymeswithrich made the hotel reservations and told me today let's make this happen, this is too important....
In college I interviewed a Vietnam Vet, Robert Skidmore, who open his heart to me as part of a class project...I have never forgotten what he went through at the hands of the left and hanoi Jane and I promised myself almost 20 years ago that I would take every opportunity to stand up for our veterans and active duty military.
What a total blessing to be given this opportunity....
So, we are bringing the kids and we will be there gladly and I am increasingly excited.
Thanks once again to my friends at FR who keep me (us) in the loop and provide the gentle remainders that it takes no great effort to bitch from the sideline.....
This is a unique opportunity to match and exceed the Left's numbers and I hope that many of us can put aside the distractions of life to send a message to the left, our troops overseas, the MSM and the President...
Not on our watch.....

We're attending an American Legion meeting Monday so we'll get them more involved. There is a good number of WWII vets that may now take the arduous trip to their Memorial instead of leaving it to the younger, more able patriots.

Looks like code pink has given up at Walter Reed. Friday, March 16 there is no mention of Walter Reed. Instead they are going to have "civil disobedience" at the White House.

Although I have not served, I will be there to honor my father who served in the Army Air Corps in WW2.
It took over 10 years of time after Vietnam and the greatest president in my lifetime - RR - to make the men and women who wear the uniform to feel proud again.
No one, on top of no one, should desecrate any memorial dedicated to our Armed Forces.
MAY GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES.
