That is one of the main things I like about him. He says what he thinks and if you don't agree with him, that is just too bad, but he's not going to flip-flop like other politicians just to get a few more votes.

Exactly. Picking a president based solely on his stance on abortion is not sensible. Picking a president based on the types of judges he picks-- that's sensible. Picking a president based on economic policy-- also sensible. Picking a president based on foreign policy/ national defense-- that's the most sensible of all.

Prolife candidates are much more important in the legislature, not the executive branch.

Someone on FR recently said (I think numerous times) that evangelical Christians will not support Rudy. First, as an evangelical Christian, I somewhat resent some anonymous Freeper representing how I will vote. But secondly, evangelicals who are politically-aware and involved are not some kind of monolithic group. We're able to determine for ourselves whom to support, and we're a lot more sophisticated in our motivations than we're given credit for by the hysterical caucus on FR.

Also, as an evangelical, I hang around with a lot of other evangelicals. My take is that about half the evangelicals I know haven't decided yet whom to support in '08. The other half are supporting Rudy.
