I am very pro-2nd Amendment, but to allow the free flow of combat assault rifles in a crime ridden city like New York City is irresponsible and

I believe "Combat assault rifles" such as the M-16, AK-47, Thompson submachine are already illegal in NYC and the rest of the USA unless you buy a special license, which is very expensive and entails a background check. These legal firearms are individually registered with the government. This has been the way it's done since the 1930's. So what are you talking about? What more do you think should be done?

I'd really like to know how you intend to make law breakers become law abider's by passing stricter laws. I don't intend this to be a sarcastic post, I really want to know your thoughts.


I have heard there are less than 500 concealed carry permits in NYC, so if restricting ownership is working so well by the application of onerous laws why in the world is NYC crime ridden?
