Why is it that all of the perky one's writings read like a high school newspaper editorial?

I would make a remark about the "College of Arts and Crafts" here at U.Va. (Katie is a CLAS alumna) except I might start a flame war. (I'm in the E-School.)

If I posted what I was thinking - I'd get banned.
However, the the janitorial staff may need to address the chair she was sitting in when this was written.

Al Gore is a sad crackpot basking in the fickle limelight of the Hollywood airhead set, who were into kaballah yesterday, are into "global warming" today, and will take up something else even more ridiculous tomorrow.
And Al will continue playing Chauncy Gardener in his own version of BEING THERE.

Why is it that all of the perky one's writings read like a high school newspaper editorial? Probably because this was the extent of mental gynmastics Ms. Couric performed in college:

It wasnt too long ago, afterall, that environmentalists were decried as tree-huggers, and former President Bush railed against them trying to say it was the spotted owl against logging interests and jobs in the West.
*cough* Which is why I chose this screen name in the first place. Imagine a varmint that can basically ruin an entire industry...

(Personally, I found Penelope Cruzs the most beautiful and tasteful of the night...)Yes she looked hot, but my vote goes to Gweneth Paltrow who turned me into a salivating werewolf. AWOOOOOO! Damn, I hate her personality, but God strike me down if she didn`t ooze utter and absolute hotness! Don`t believe me? Check IT out...

Checking out the dresses - Katie, ask again why people do not take you serious.
To: Huntress
Of course by now we know all about Mr. Gore's excess use of power of all kinds. No wonder he wants everyone to use less, to make more for him.

And that's what it's all about. The Left's new "Pope" and religion.

So it's not just conservatives that noticed the worship of Gore at the Academy Awards. Even the left thought it a little ridiculous. (Hands clasped, tears in eyes, heads nodding up and down as Gore spoke - ridiculous! I wish I had a screen capture of some of the faces in ecstacy)
The only reason that Katie didn't mention this was Gore was a Democrat. If Gore had been a Republican, this article would have been spiked with venom.

Why is it that all of the perky one's writings read like a high school newspaper editorial? When I first heard of "Katie Couric's Notebook," I instantly imagined this pink notebook with cute stickers galore. It might have "Katie!!" in big magenta cursive, with a border of stars and the "i" dotted with a heart. The one exception to the cuteness is "BUSH!!!" in scratchy block script with a red X over it.
To: Huntress
What it all boils down to is liberals got nothing. They had something when the buses and water fountains were separated by race. They had something when workers were told to go into the mine or go home. They had something when only men could vote. Today they got nothing.
