No. But FWIW, the numbers don't matter to me in that even one would be too many.
Accurate numbers are important when policy or legislation is created. They also help one evaluate the policy.
Wow less than 5% of the population is NOT responsible for MOST of the crime? What an amazing statistic!
Well, here's an even more spectacular statistic:
If Mexicans comprised 1% of the population, but were responsible for 100% of the crime, by this time next week there would not be a single Mexican left in the U.S.
This example is neither a wish nor reality, just a clear (I hope) illustration of the power of percentages (not absolute numers) in this discussion.

More accurately, they're coming here for money. Work is only one of many ways they get that money, though.
