Two B's in grad school in a single semester (3-4 classes tops) means he is a mediocre engineer at best.
Like you, I couldn't have cut the mustard in any of them, either, so I don't know. I have a relative who is very successful in the field, and she says she processes information differently than most people.
My only consolation in her "family wunderkind" status is that she totally sux at Trivial Pursuit, and similar board games. It's like she can't understand the point of them or something.
Gee, a friend of mine who was a mechanical engineer worked for a company that made the conveyor belts for the airport luggage systems. Before that he worked for an elevator company. He said it was so boring, he couldn't stand it.
He went back to school, and now he's an attorney.
That does sound boring. But so does law school.
