Clintons' Charity Not Listed On Senate Disclosure Forms

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton and former president Bill Clinton have operated a family charity since 2001, but she failed to list it on annual Senate financial disclosure reports on five occasions.

The Ethics in Government Act requires members of Congress to disclose positions they hold with any outside entity, including nonprofit foundations. Hillary Clinton has served her family foundation as treasurer and secretary since it was established in December 2001, but none of her ethics reports since then have disclosed that fact.

....Among the institutions receiving grants from the Clinton Family Foundation were Yale University, where both attended law school; groups named for deceased heads of state in Israel and Jordan; and a charity connected to the Arkansas businessman who helped Hillary Clinton make $100,000 on a commodities trade that stirred controversy a decade ago, Internal Revenue Service reports show.

The foundation has enabled the Clintons to write off more than $5 million from their taxable personal income since 2001, while dispensing $1.25 million in charitable contributions over that period.

Clinton's spokesman said her failure to report the existence of the family foundation and the senator's position as an officer was an oversight. Her office immediately amended her Senate ethics reports to add that information late yesterday after receiving inquiries from The Washington Post.

The Clinton's have perfected and passed on to their minions the art of the "I made a mistake" defense. Sandy Burgaler and Dingy Harry come to mind.

It reminds me of George Costanza in a Seinfeld episode where he had sex with the cleaning lady on his desk. When the boss confronted him with it he said "I gotta plead ignorance on this one because if I would have known this sort of thing was frowned upon I would have never done it."

Of course the media allows this nonsense and actually marvels at how well the Clintons are able to lie. You would think that they would respect their profession just a little bit.

Like Rip Torn said in the movie Extreme Prejudice "The only thing worse than a politician is a child molester." I would add journalist to that list.

Rule #1: The Clintons are neither crooks, immoral, unethical or sleazy.

Rule #2: When the Clintons ARE found to be crooks, immoral, unethical or sleazy, rule #1 applies.

Osamabama's WP campaign team working hard!

He won his Senate seat because the Chicago papers found a liberal California judge to open up his opponent's sealed divorce records. Why would Osama suddenly start playing straight?

The Post's story is dubious at least, suspicious at best: it's a real nothingburger, albeit physically above the fold in this morning's print edition.

By throwing other MOC's names in the mix only serves to dillute the story: classic Post ("Everybody's doing it and all politicians have murky finances, so what's the big deal?").

Bill Klintoon's "foundation" according to the story:

"The charity is separate from the New York-based William J. Clinton Foundation, which has directed $10 billion in corporate money and resources toward slowing the global spread of AIDS, addressing climate change, and reducing hunger and poverty in developing countries."

Perhaps Bubba could have set a good example for all in "slowing the global spread of AIDS" by wrapping up while he was having unprotected sex with an intern only a few years older than his daughter upstairs.

Now THAT would have been charitable...

When an oversight occurs five times on the same issue, one would think that the geniuses at Justice would recognize that it's not an oversight?????

Absolutely, the Clinton "war room" was/is a myth, it was made up entirely of the MSM, Hollywood, DC Bureaucracies, and Academia.

This Dem hack machine will conduct its war for Obama, or whomever they nominate.

Blowing up this "war room" should be our main goal, the Dims are nothing without it.

Yes, the biggest tax loophole that needs closing is the "foundation" loophole that enables the Kennedys and Clintons and Hollywood libs to exempt their income from the IRS. Or make it fair and let the middle class establish foundations for their family wealth as well.
But the very least we can expect from someone running for president is that they follow the Senate rules and file the disclosure statements for these tax-dodging "foundations."
Why hasn't the Senate required her to do this in the seven years Hillary's been there?

If anyone starts checking out that charity's books, I'll wager her war position will be the least of her problems :)

"Hillary Clinton has served her family foundation as treasurer and secretary since it was established in December 2001" and only took a yearly salary of $15 million per year...
What a fraud. Wasn't Skin Pelosi caught forgetting to list her "charity" on Senate disclosure forms? I am sure it was just an oversight or a beaurocratic snafu!

What, no used Clinton underwear as a deduction again?

Crazy Tax Deductions – Some Work And Some Don’t!
Steve Fogel

Bio | Email

There is no limit to the ways that taxpayers will try to minimize their taxes through "creative" accounting. By pulling and stretching the tax laws as far as they will go (and sometimes beyond), we can get an idea of where the boundaries of these ever-changing rules and regulations actually lie. Subject to the next Tax Court ruling, that is! Read along for some of the more entertaining attempts – many of them were actually allowed!

Ridiculously Large Breast Implants – ALLOWED

The Tax Court ruled that stripper Chesty Love could take a business deduction for these because they were not suitable for normal street wear!

Committing Your Mentally Ill Spouse To An Institution – ALLOWED

The legal fees involved are deductible as a medical expense.

Business Costs Of An Illegal Bookmaking Operation – ALLOWED

The income is taxable and the lawful costs of running the business are deductible.

The Kids’ Allowance – ALLOWED

Just hire them to work in your business and it becomes a business expense!

Bill & Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Underwear – ALLOWED

The Clintons got a $2.00 per pair deduction when the undies were donated.

Executive’s Wife’s Mink Coat – NOT ALLOWED

Even though she wore it to places frequented by clients, it qualified as street wear and was not deductible.

Navajo Singers Used In Healing Ceremonies – ALLOWED

The Tax Court ruled that these were in line with the intent of medical expense deductibility.

The Cost Of Rebuilding The House You Burned Down To Get Even With Your Wife For Sleeping With Another Man – NOT ALLOWED

Criminal intent voided the man’s insurance coverage and his ability to get a casualty deduction.

Replacement Cost Of Wife’s Diamond Ring Ground Up In Garbage Disposal – ALLOWED

The Tax Court judge allowed this because it was accidental.

African Safari Taken By Owners Of Dairy Business – ALLOWED

This was allowed because the dairy’s advertising, marketing and promotional activities were successfully based on wild animals.

Air Space Rights Above A Building Given As A Charitable Deduction – ALLOWED

This was deemed legitimate because air space rights are a right of ownership and can be given away. The building was also designed for additional floors that could be built on top of the existing ones.

Buying Postage Stamps And Not Using Them – NOT ALLOWED

The taxpayer unsuccessfully claimed that his not using the stamps benefited the federal government.

700-Pound Halibut Caught On Alaskan Fishing Vacation And Donated To Salvation Army – ALLOWED

At a market price of $7.99 a pound, the couple paid for their entire vacation with this deduction!
