"Soulforce" is Rev. Mel White's outfit and is definitely on the cutting-edge of gay provocateurdom. I actually read Mel White's autobiography of fourteen years ago and thought he was at least worth listening to. I've seen him on talk shows more recently and am unable to recongnize the burly, balding lump of mean as the same man.
I have a suspicion he is HIV-positive and is on testosterone-replacement therapy (anabolic steroids) the same thing that sent Andrew Sullivan off the rails.
Yep, they just want to get in your face. They lie when they say they just want to be left alone. They won't be satisfied until they have the sanction of the law behind them and they will keep pulling these stunts until they get it.

Yeah, this group came to my alma mater, Lee University (TN). IIRC the president sent a letter to the student body and the parents, stating that Soulforce would be coming and that they would be not be granted a public forum. Basically the group was allowed on campus, they even sat through a chapel service, but no one took their bait and after a couple of days they left quietly.

As a Christian, I have always felt the Springfield, Missouri was a major fortress of the Bible belt. Now that the Sodomists have taken most of the nation, it is on their radar and has evidentlly become the target of a search and destroy mission.

If you don't, I don't see that you have a problem.
Sounds like it has been handled correctly so far. There is nothing to talk about and the students don't need this.
Maybe the school could alert Fred Phelps to work as a buffer?
