from Herbert --
Well have to wait and see whether Senator Obama is really offering a new, more hopeful brand of national politics. But heres a bit of unsolicited advice for a candidate making his first foray into the crucible of presidential politics:
Dont listen to those who tell you not to fight back against the Clintons. You will not become president if you allow yourself to become their punching bag. Keep in mind the Swift-boating of John Kerry. Raising politics to a higher level does not mean leaving oneself defenseless.

Hey Doug - Now that Hillary is running will Bill proudly announce that "you get two for the price of one"?

"When Senator Obama talks about bringing a new kind of politics to the national scene, he’s talking about something that would differ radically from the relentlessly vicious, sleazy, mendacious politics that have plagued the country throughout the Bush-Clinton years. Whether he can pull that off is an open question. But there’s no doubt the Clintons want to stop him from succeeding." Love It!

That welcome to pottersville is one weird web site. I find it unbelievable that in their lead article, they actually claim that Al Gore's Oscar is some kind of validation of global warming, or that conservatives give a rip about who gets an Oscar.

Keep in mind the Swift-boating of John Kerry. Raising politics to a higher level does not mean leaving oneself defenseless.Kerry said they were liars. If they were liars all he had to do was sign a release of all his Naval Records to prove they were liars. He did not sign!
Who do you think was lying?

"...knock Barack Obama off his white horse and muddy him up a little."
That could be construed by the left as somewhat racist. The images of white horse being good and brown being "muddy". Obama being of mixed races and all. Only the NYT could get away with this. Well... maybe not.

Herbert can whine about Kerry if he likes. Kerry is yesterday's news. If he does damage to Hillary, more power to him. I left him a message on his message today demanding to know why he has refused to talk about her four fraudulent FEC reports and her role in the collapse of Stan Lee Media. See you in court, witch.

I don't know what his strategy will be. I think he wants to stain the carpeting again.
