How so? The agenda of the GOP is (supposedly) smaller government, lower taxes, free enterprise, and strong national defense. What does being gay have a thing to do with it?

Unless, of course, you're part of that crowd that has been slowly hijacking the party since the 80's to focus on a narrow social agenda that has nothing to do with conservatism, pushing more people out of the party than it is bringing in.
