And yet how many of those 2 billion will watch it?
People, no matter how good a christian will watch or read anything. The argument being "how can I refute it if I haven't seen it myself?". While that may certainly be true, people are making heretics like this millionaires several times over, and the amount that any show it watched - be it on tv or in a theater- is counted, as are how many copies of a book are bought, or even taken out at the library.
Want to say this is fertilizer? Don't watch it, with low ratings it will soon disappear. Don't read it. The publisher isn't going to make oddles of re-prints if there isn't a market for something.
Of course this is just my opinion.

I'll probably watch it. I find archaeology interesting. Whatever he has found, I suspect it is a family who wanted to emulate Christ and named their children after his family...not very unusual, it will be interesting and informational.
I'm not threatened by this kind of crap. As a Christian, I expect to be the target of much worse than this pitiful attempt. Just break out the popcorn and enjoy the show. His Titanic movie was mildly amusing.

Exactly. Christians need to follow through with their pocketbooks; i.e., don't pay to see the exploitation of Christ for at least by example to others if not for self respect and that of God.

2 John (KJV)
9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son.
10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:
11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Sounds like what you're suggesting is the proper application of this scripture.
