My county uses this type of vote machine. When you are ready to finalize your vote, the voting machine prints a copy of the ballot one page at a time for you to view and verify. The printout is behind a sheet of glass and is retained in the machine. I don't know how it is marked if you decide to change your vote. Here are the local instructions on the machines' use.

The ballot is supposedly discarded when the voter determines that it doesn't reflect his choices.
