"I'm interested in reports that the first alternate was "rolling her eyes" during the Defense's closing arguments. I found it interesting that Libby's lawyer argued to keep the jury at 11, while Fitzfong wanted to bring that alternate into the fold.O'Naifong? The "Grand Inquisitor"?
The defense saw a likely hostile juror dismissed, the likely alternate was observably hostile. This is probably nothing more than "Juries 101" being played by both the defense and the persecution. It would be interesting if one of the other jurors "tattled" on the dismissed juror but we don't really have any indication of that.

No news so far from The Corner. Amazing. When will deliberations exceed testimony?

4 1/2 days of deliberation, still no verdict!!
Obviously some kind of impasse in the jury room.......
I'd guess chances of a hung jury are high, but I don't claim to know about these things.......

Since it requires a unanimous decision to convict, then it seems that the delay would not be because of very few "convict" votes. If they had a big number saying, "do not convict," then the odds of getting them all to change their minds would be remote.
It must be a small number of "do not convict" votes who are holding out. If I were one of those guys, I'd simply say, "you're wasting your time to change my mind."

Geez, didn't they have curbs in? I thought that was supposed to happen when the market started falling like this.
Anyway, this really stinks. After HPQ reported earnings the other night, I had been planning to exercise some options, but then it lost 8% for no good reason -- at least, none that had any relationship to the earnings report.

I wonder what this juror was exposed to? <<
Prolly the fact that Plame was NOT a covered operative of the CIA....Outing her was no more a crime then outing Fitzgerald as a prosecutor!!...It seems that cant be admitted into evidence!!!...Amazing huh?
