All the thousands of scientists who disagree with him and all the flaws in his "documentary," and I never understood how right Al Gore was until he was vailidated by a community of self-congratulating, Humvee driving, anti-nuclear power, private jet flying, mansion dwelling hypocrites who use up more electricity by turning on the lights in their 10,000 square foot houses than I use in one year.
"Oscar ballots were made from partially recycled paper and organic produce was served at the Governor's Ball. The academy joined with the Natural Resources Defense Council to reduce energy usage and increase recycling."
I can feel the Earth getting cooler already.

Keep in mind that most Oscars are given to works of fiction like "An Inconvenient Truth".

Another example of style over substance by Hollywood. I am sure they are Oh so proud of themselves for being so morally superior, LMAO.

As we all know, this was nothing about his "crockumentary". It was all about him sticking his finger in Bush's eye.
The Hollyweird crowd (preaching to the choir, here) loves the money they make here, but they hate the US and its policies - PARTICULARLY those of the Bush administration.
Frankly, evrything I am reading indicates that the Oscars sucked swamp water and, IMO, hopefully there won't be another broadcast again. After all, what are they giving awards for? The movies in the past year have mostly been worse than dreck with virtually no true bright spots. So, to compensate for a year of mostly crappy movies, Hollyweird throws its annual drooling self-congratulationsfest to give awards for crappy movies with an equally crappy TV show.
And, they wonder why were are increasingly turning to old movies on DVD, computer games and "family time". Have they REALLY looked at their own product of late?

"Other initiatives included rides for presenters and stars in hybrid vehicles. The academy said it had explored hydrogen-powered fuel cell buses to transport crew and other workers, but did not have enough time to do it this year."
"Meals for the hundreds of crew and cast members were served on reusable plates and biodegradable dishware."
"Food left over from the post Oscars Governor's Ball was to be donated to a local shelter."
Then they all flew private jets home.
I'm touched.

Not surprising - the Dixie Chicks were recently honored too. They havent had a hit recording for a long time and their concerts are often cancelled for lack of ticket sales. Oscars and Grammies are popularity contests for the Hollywood Elite, nothing more.

The Oscars also honored the passing of Leni Riefenstahl, Nazi Propagandist. This shouldn't be too much of a surprise.

Instead, Gore said he was dedicating all his efforts to pressuring governments to act on climate-crisis issues. "It is the overriding world challenge of our time," Gore said.
Silly me, here I thought the overriding world challenge of our time was to stop the spread of death and destruction that calls itself islam.

Didn't Rush say Al spent $500,000 of his own money promoting the film to the Academy members? And who said Hollywood couldn't be bought....but then I guess that is what Hollywood is all about...Money and Power.
I spent the weekend watching old movies like Lawrence of Arabia, Patton, and Casablanca...ah for the good old days when Hollywood was about spending money on making good entertainment.

Because Gore situates has fat butt in the United States and infects these United States with his hypocricy and lies, I consider Gore a greater threat to this country than Joseph Goebbels and Heinrich Himmler were in WW II.
