Let Rush know too.
Any of the rest here with web sites or blogs of their own need to post a link to it. I did on mine, listing what a shame it is that our Troops should ever fel the need to have to request support from Congress.
What bothers me is that CBS could not, or would not for whatever reason, even do a cursory search to find out that this petition is not the only one out there. There is another one at http://www.appealforcourage.org that states:
"As an American currently serving my nation in uniform, I respectfully urge my political leaders in Congress to fully support our mission in Iraq and halt any calls for retreat. They have over 1000 signatures as well and was also started by active-duty military members. I equally applaud both groups for making their opinions known. I DO NOT applaud CBS for covering one and ignoring the other. Was this done on purpose or did they simply not know about the Appeal for Courage?
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt...maybe they didn't know and perhaps would have done a balanced story if they had. Well I bet they know about it now since this has hit the blogs.
It's amazing that with the staff a major news operation like CBS has that they couldn't do just a bit more research to produce a balanced story about service members-both pro and con-expressing their opinions about the Iraq war.
Once again CBS has failed to impress me."
