Just what ARE Rudy's qualifications that make him the "BEST man to lead as CIC?" That is a very legitimate question, and the fact that you have to ask is an extraordinary commentary into the mindset of Rudy, AND his handlers.
Keep in mind that Rudy is being carefully groomed, and is allowed to give only very measured public responses; he says nothing that will hurt his poll numbers.
Rudy's handlers---the Everything-For-Us-Nothing-For-Conservatives types---decide what you should know about the candidate, and when you should know it.
His handlers have apparently decided Rudy's military/war credentials (or lack of them) are not to be discussed.
Military talk is such a turnoff to Rudy's favored constituency---the liberal vote. (Remember, Bill Clinton said he "loathed" the military.)
It annoys Rudy's handlers when conservatives ask "annoying" questions about the military.

(Hunter: For some candidates, a conservative constituency is an inconvenience. For me, it is my hope.)

Yeah, I know. I went to Rudy's campaign web site expecting to learn a lot about his vision for America, his plans for the war and what he's going to do about Iran, Syria, North Korea, etc, and how he's going to cut government, cut spending, cut taxes, etc. Nada. Nothing there.
I came away with a real empty feeling. Our frontrunner is an empty suit running on name recognition only, or what?
