Actually, they really suck
You are so correct, I remember a person telling me the story ,back during the Soviet Union days, of the windshields for one of the aircraft being built at a small factory then shipped to be installed. The rejection rate was 92%. Real crisp MFG process.

Don't think so... They had the MiG-25 before we had the F-15 and Stealth was based on a paper by a Soviet mathematician.
The SU-30 is probably better than F15s and F18s, and as good as a Eurofighter. They have ability to design great stuff - its their industry that lets 'em down. For thievin' you have to look at the Israelis and Chinese...
What most of the rest of the world lacks is our pilots - we put 'em through lots more training than most other air forces. Expensive, but worth it.
