US generals 'will quit' if Bush orders Iran attack

Some of America’s most senior military commanders are prepared to resign if the White House orders a military strike against Iran, according to highly placed defence and intelligence sources.

So...4-5 out of how many hundred?

There were 845 tenured general officers as of April 30, 2002. That's .0057% that are threatening to resign.

in my opinion, part of the problem Bush has had in iraq - has to do with the generals - guys like Abizaid - have done poorly.

That, and the total lack of any post-war plan. And the idiotic edicts of Paul Bremer. And Iranian skullduggery. And the inability of Shiites to play nice with the Sunnis (and vice versa).

when military
leaders told him they wouldn't
follow his orders.

If military
leaders now are sending hints
they will 'rebel,' then . . .

It is always SAFE to be against 'the draft'...when there is 'no draft.' 
 
Most of those cut & runners have already maxed their pensions.....

No, an officer has the right to resign his commission at any time, as far as I remember.
