I did not see that one...
Sure hope not! Even the fact he was nominated gives me a pain, lol.
After the Oscars most of the movies(winners) come back to first run. By in large I think all movies are better on big screen. I have BIG TVs & quality sound systems. But it is NOT the same. I love our Cinemark Stadium Seating theaters here in NE Ohio
I used to LOVE going to movies--now I just get to see them on planes. I used to LOVE watching the Oscars--silently dreaming that I would get to go one day. Oh, and I REALLY LOVED watching the fashions. --I'll probably still watch the "pregame show." ;-)
lol...the only movie I've seen on this list is The Queen..and it was most excellent!
Ive not seen any of the nominated movies but then Ive not been out to the movies much this year.
I think Helen Mirren is an excellent actor and I very much want to see The Queen. I understand her portrayal of QE2 was very compelling and real human and sympathetic character.
The only other movie Im interested in seeing is Little Children". I never heard of it before today when I saw an interview with Kate Winslet with some clips.
Jackie Earl Haley, of the original Bad News Bears
On the right:
Hi Dolly! Can't we heckle just a wee little bit?! :)
I'll miss most of the Oscars anyway, we have church tonite! Probably will come home and watch a movie.
Hi, Dolly,
I plan to join you tonite, but, thankfully, it's not for three more hours!
Can't wait to see the portly priest of the church of the latter day global warming get his award.
Hi.. I agree re: United 93.
It would be hard for me to vote. I saw all movies for all categories I posted & they are so different. Hard to say one is better than another. I did NOT see, nor will see Gore's flick
This year's nominees make last year's seem exciting, and only 5 people in the world saw anything that was up last year.
oh my! that is aging "rough"
Dang it, Dolly. If I can't heckle then ....
Do you think he will get it? I dont but maybe it is just wishful thinking
(well, a tiny bit is okay)'
LOL
If I didn't have the "words" on my TV, I could never watch anything British.
No, Dolly, I plan on Major heckling. So guess I'd better join the other thread.
The only thing I DONT LIKE about the Oscars is what I dont like about TV in general. COMMERCIALS.
I watch very little TV. This year did start watching 24 & it is the first series since the late 80s & Dallas
