"Giuliani's fight of his life"
The title brings me to the question about his cancer. Does anyone know if he is now cancer-free or just in submission?
Just wondering if he really is "fighting for his life?"
He was treated for prostate cancer in 2000 and to to the best of my knowledge is 100% cured.
Prostate cancer is one of the MOST "curable" types of cancer there is, if caught early enough, with no cancer of a re-occurrence, if no cancer cells have broken through the wall of the prostate.
There are two basic types of treatment. One is the full removal of the prostate, which negates any possible return of prostate cancer, because the prostate is no longer there. The second and newer treatment, seed implantation, is what Rudy chose to do. I don't have the stats on that procedure, but do know that Rudy is cancer free now and says that he is going to release all of his medical records.
