Please see:
A Word for Chris Wallace (Email from Doug Feith to Chris Wallace)
Chris Wallace failed to mention today what is in this email and ONLY said Doug Feith contacted the show and said he stood by what he had said on the show on February 11, 2007.

Here are my Chris Wallace watch Week 3 comments:

I initially thought CW came away unscathed this week, but having seen Feith's e-mail, I have changed my mind.

First my impressions.
CW interview with Condi went reasonably well as in nothing notable. CW asked reasonable questions and gave Condi all the time to answer. There was really no engagement or follow up. The last part of the interview is a problem that most of the LSM exhibits. Condi was asked about Obama by virtue of her being black. This is waste of time filler that pervades these programs.

CW interview with Govs Perry and Rendell was not notable either. Although I did note that Wallace has an agenda (in fairness it is his preparation) but he is not too good in engaging on the fly. At the end, CW says that he has to ask about politics and asks them about the VP slot. Another waste of time question. Unfortunately, this crap is pervasive on these programs.

My biggest problem was that CW noted the e-mail that you have referenced and stated that Feith stands by his story while The Weekly Standard stood by their story. My initial thought is that is wrong with the news programs. There are facts to be determined but the media is too lazy, incompetent,or biased (other adjectives might be appropriate) to go after and report on the truth.

I came away with the impression that the interviews were reasonable but much of the problem with the LSM is demonstrated: Waste of time questions about politics at the end of interviews and leaving differing versions of a fact without finding out the truth.

Subsequently, as I was reading a different thread, I came across the e-mail that you referenced. I realized that the CW interview with Feith was even worse than I had perceived at the time. CW got the facts wrong.

Nothing impressive yet from CW. I have a feeling that finding anything good to say will be like finding the proverbial needle in a haystack.
