She was scathing, said all he did was mouth platitudes.

Did you hear that several middle and high schools let their kids go to that rally? I'd like to know how many kids who are in middle school now will be eligible to VOTE in 2008?

Personally, I looked at the news coverage and pictures, and there were quite a number of kids there. I did see the usual leftover hippie Austinites also, but that was expected.

It was funny but the science fair I do believe was held nearby after the speech. So my son in law was there setting up for it with my grandson who entered and he didn't know Obama was there. He called my daughter and said he had a weird experience,,he was in the parking lot and all the cars had "democrat" stickers on them. He wondered, "did all Austin go democrat overnight?"

Oh...yeah...Obama is the "rock star" candidate..and they are upfront in going after the younger vote.

It MIGHT help if the kids are old enough TO VOTE...LOL

I think the kids in his crowds look at this as a Washington verson of American Idol..

They will probably go home and tell Mommy and Daddy to go home and call 1-888-BRO-BAMA!!!

(come to think of it...he would probably get voted OFF AI, faster that kicked off the POTUS train)
