I think that we need to look at the sex crimes. I am all for Jessica's law. But then I don't think that a boy of 18 who has sex with a girl of 15 who lied about her age deserves to have his life ruined ....Repeat sex offenders and those that rape children yes I do believe ought to be jailed for life or face death. I am all for just tossing them into general prison population and letting inmate justice take care of them. I do not favor them getting protection in jail. Like I said though, what do you do with these girls who seek out older boys over the age of 18 and lie about their age? Have sex and then the parents press charges. Sometimes the parents know their little darlings are having sex and if the boy breaks up with the girl they press charges. I don't think that fits under a sex offender. Yet as of now in some states thats a sex crime. I really don't think it is in all cases.

I hear you.
Looking back on those young days, some of those girls could/can fool a much older man than I was then. So well that their age was never an issue.
Think 19yr man, 14yr woman.

I am pretty sure that the word "child" as used in Jessica's Law means a person under the age of 12.
