The imbroglio began in late January when John Edwards' presidential campaign hired two liberal activists to promote the candidate on the campaign website. Almost immediately, it was discovered that the activists Amanda Marcotte and Melissa McEwan had previously, and routinely, made intensely anti-Christian posts on their personal blogs. Marcotte used extremely profane and vulgar prose mocking core Christian theological beliefs, joked about aborting Jesus and suggested Christianity was "misogynist mythology." Meanwhile, McEwan perhaps channeling Rosie O'Donnell frequently referred to Christians as "christofascists."
...In the end, Marcotte and McEwan resigned from their posts (with the campaign's "reluctant support"), but they did so only after blasting "the rightwing noise machine," whose blatant "sexism" not their own bigoted tirades, mind you was the source of all that had befallen them.

Marcotte's anti-Catholic tirade included very graphic sexual descriptions (which I will not quote here) in reference to the Catholic belief in immaculate conception, and asked what would have happened if Mary had chosen Plan B (presumably contraception or abortion) so that Jesus had never been born. Perhaps Marcotte's Pandagon has the same playbook as MoveOn.org, which published this derogatory picture of Pope Benedict:

Marcotte's Pandagon entry said in part,
"...And, needless to say, the Catholic church is not about to let something like compassion for girls get in the way of using the state as an instrument to force women to bear more tithing Catholics."
The Catholic League adds that Edwards blogger Melissa McEwan smeared not only Catholics but all Christians as follows:
On November 21, 2006, Melissa McEwan said on AlterNet that some of Christianitys most prominent leadersincluding the Poperegularly speak out against gay tolerance. On November 1, 2006, on her blogspot Shakespeares Sister, she referred to President Bushs wingnut Christofascist base when lashing out against religious conservatives."
We can therefore assume that John Edwards does not want the votes of any "Christiofascists." Given Barack Obama's association with George Soros (from whom he got $60K directly or indirectly in 2004 for his Senate campaign) and MoveOn.org, Obama can do without any Jewish, Christian, or African-American votes.

Come to think of it, this poster can be redone with the swastika-bearing arm labeled "John Edwards' bloggers at Pandagon," minus the Jewish scroll noting that Pandagon has yet to spew anti-Semitic commentary the way MoveOn has done.
Edwards is a Christophobe. He simply hates Christians.
Oxymoron.
Re: "Edwards is a Christophobe. He simply hates Christians."
Maybe we can do a cartoon of him as Nero, feeding Christians to lions labeled "Democratic Left." Amanda Marcotte can perhaps be depicted as a hyena (a contemptable scavenger) about to eat a Christian. Although Thomas Nast was himself a vile Catholic-hater, his "Tammany Tiger" cartoon does provide some nice ideas that could be adapted here...
No, he chose feminazi's over Christians.
Oh..the great Silky Pony is at it again....you know the medical malpractice lawyer who bilked the healthcare dollars for his own profit and fortune and now wants to raise taxes to support a govt. sponsored takeover of healthcare. Talk about the fox minding the hen house.
Hates Christians? Not a manly thing for a son of the South.
Go shampoo your Breck girl hair lil pony boy...
Pretty clear, isn't it?
Edwards Challenges Carter for Americas Leading Anti-Semite Role
Jealous of the attention former President Jimmy Carter has garnered as Americas most famous anti-Semite as a result of authoring the bookPalestine: Peace, Not Apartheidformer senator and current presidential candidate, John Edwards put in his bid for a fair share of the attention by asserting that Israel is the major threat to world peace.
Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh of Hamas called Edwards remarks encouraging. But added Edwards still has a long way to go if he hopes to displace President Carter in our hearts.

If this is clear, it clearly means that to follow Christ is to renounce the world, including not only riches, but comfort, family, everything. Even your own life.
Note John 15:14, whence "The Society of Friends", aka Quakers.
"misogynist.."
Any time a woman uses the word "misogynist" my Lesbo-meter starts glowing red!
