In the 7th Congressional District, the Chicago CHA projects are part of that gerrymander which always manages to get a 100% voter turnout. The rest of us might get 40%, if we're lucky. And the democRats, they ALL vote straight party too.
Loyal Cha-cah-go voters, them all. Nobody was stuck late at work. Died overnight from a drug overdose. Was hospitalized from drive-by gun shot wounds. Was too strung-out, hung-over, or couldn't figure out how to punch the butterfly ballot on Election Day.
Aldercritter Fast Eddie Vrdoliak used to explain how "machine politics" happens. Chicago d'Rats would run the straight party ballot through voting machine, until the precinct count is "just right." Meanwhile the gangbanger punks “guard” the polling place doors, keeping those nosey suburbanites away.
And yes, one Chicago precinct captain managed a prison trip for this charade. The FBI found thousands of his fingerprints all over one ballot. So now, to prevent the spread of AIDS, d'Rats wear latex gloves when counting ballots.
