I didn't find this forum until I signed up in '01. I signed up the first day I found FR. And I tell you I first came to the attention of politics with GHW Bush and noticed how wicked the Demonrats were with their politics. I was an ardent supporter of Bush 41 throughout the fight against Buchanan(can't you tell by my name I admired Bush and his family?) even though I wasn't a registered Republican at that time(in fact I wasn't allowed to vote until '96). I was registered independent. And I supported W in 2000 over McCain and Keyes. Like I said, Keyes and Buchanan could be outrageous and oftentimes were but you have NO CASE in comparing Hunter to them.

I agree. The dude's concern was that it would be the same set of supporters. I support Duncan Hunter regardless of these suspected supporters. The dude is right to be concerned, as some of these extreme voices are truly unenlightened and embarrassing and, ultimately, counter-productive. Duncan Hunter needs positive support to win, not negative counter-production, which is what that set of stooges gives us.

I'm afraid you missed the point. Since you weren't here in those days, Peach was merely pointing out (and I was trying to explain to you) that many of the more vocal Hunter supporters here supported Buchanan and Keyes.

While I'm not a Hunter supporter (but would be if he got the nomination) he is miles ahead of both Buchanan and Keyes by simple virtue of the fact that he's actually won an election.
