When did Gates step down as SECDEF and run for the Senate, anyway?

a country that treats you like crap? It is a privilege to serve ones country! Don't they remember JFK's words: "Ask not what your country can do for you, but for what you can do for your country"

Is it really that honorable to fight for a country that treats you like crap?
Damned right it is. Its the country that isnt honorable to treat them like that, not the fault of the troops .
We need a much larger force. It isnt right to have to keep sending the same men back becasue the forces arent large enough.

You are sadly uninformed or a troll. I am a disabled veteran, and I receive top-notch care from the Veterans Affairs hospital. Do a little research or ask a real vet next time, not one of those PX cowboys that attend the marches with Cindy Sheehan.

Nothing, is too good for veterans? When vets are in uniform, they are heros. When they get out, they are costs.
