I hope the president will repudiate and distance himself from the vice president's remarks," Pelosi said. I hope the President extends Cheney's remarks and rips her a new one, but he's too much of a gentleman for that.
In any case, I hope Bush stands behind Cheney.

Pelosi should remember how Gingrich began his 'fall' by acting too big for his boots. A Speaker overstepping his bounds doesn't go down too well with the general public -- even if the Media chooses to ignore it this time 'round.

I hope the President extends Cheney's remarks and rips her a new one, but he's too much of a gentleman for that. And that passivity is a major reason why he's been reduced to the dire and desperate circumstances in which he finds himself. So sad, and so unnecessary...

Isn't it a crying shame that there is a question about it.
I have the same hope. I am cautiously optimistic.
