I hear that early abortions are safer than childbirth. That isn't true, you say?
Not in America with its good prenatal care. There are a number of studies that are very controversial from Japan and Europe that indicate a large increase in breast cancer incidence in women who have abortions. Apparently, carrying through the full pregnancy grants a woman a certain immunity. However, the use of birth control or morning-after contraception hasn't been correlated with breast cancer.
Very very few women die or have health problems in First World countries from a pregnancy. And there are women who die or become sterile from botched legal abortions.

Interesting. Thanks for the information.

I'd be real careful about statements that say having the baby grants a woman any kind of "immunity". Every woman in my family over 45 had breast cancer, all had babies, none that I know of had abortions. Lets not either (a) let women feel complacent about breast cancer screening, or (b) add any cloud of suspicion to those who do get breast cancer, by arguing abortion is even a common factor, let alone the only factor in occurrence of breast cancer.
