The Constitution has been amended quite a few times, since it was first written. Hence you repeated use of the word "ORIGINALISM" is hardly useful.

There is NOTHING in the Constitution, amendments and all, that particularly deals with our "culture"; though the now rescinded PROHIBITION on alcohol did. The abolitionists were not only concerned about the matter of slavery; they were also the original PROHIBITIONISTS and with good reason. America, until Prohibition, was THE most soused nation in the civilized world. Drunkenness was a scourge in this country.

Just WHAT exactly are you recommending? That proselytizing to FR will somehow make everyone here clones; get everyone here to agree on 90% of your interpretation of what is "ORIGINALIST CONSERVATISM"? Or that and that we all go out and "convert" people in the real world? Sorry, you aren't being clear and I don't understand what you are driving at. Please explain what you mean.

Hardly useful? On the contrary. I note your reference to various Amendments. I'll raise you on that. I reject the notion of Stare Decisis as being CONSTITUTIONALLY valid/useful, for it is using that judicial technique, in additional to various Treaties and Executive Orders, that we can see created a penumbra where none was intended to be--and we see Gramsci and his pals and the father of lies crouching in that dark emanating shadow. All of which impacts our culture, drunk or (hopefully) not.

That kind of education is something more people need. Hence, my efforts.

Ever since I've read and replied to that interrogative, it's begged for your own clarification. FR being a 'Conservative Forum' it seems your choice of words is curious, ironic and frankly, even a bit hostile.

Here at FR, Leftist trolls would proselytize AWAY from true Conservative views, while True Conservatives would reinforce TOWARD truly Conservative views.

The reverse would be true at DU.

So, why the apparent hostility? Do you disagree with any of the Ten Commandments and if so, which one(s) and why? Do you disagree with the premise that 'All Men Are Created Equal' and have inalienable rights? Do you disagree with the premise that life begins at fertilization? Do you disagree with the premise that slavery is wrong, that people are not chattel including unborn children?

I responded; your turn. What is True Conservatism to you, please?
