I think it would work, sorta, in a converse sense. Giuliani could be Hunter's wingman. He could have 8 years to re-evaluate his positions on some important socon issues.

Hunter won't win the primary, he would never take Rudy as his VEEP and hypothetically, if Hunter did win, offer Rudy the VVEP spot, I really doubt that Rudy would take it. Rudy, unlike many of the bottom tier guys, is NOT running so that someone will notice him and make him their VEEP.

There's a long way between now and November '08, but Hunter has an awful lot of ground to make up in that time. Can he raise the money to raise his profile?
