I would never have made the claims about you, your record or your motivations if I hadn't been reading your posts for over a year.

Maybe, just maybe, if you want people to stop calling you on that you could consider dropping the terms like "rutards."

Because, as much as you don't want to admit it, there ARE principled conservatives who are supporting Rudy. Right here on FreeRepublic.

Known numbers ranging (at guesstimate levels) somewhere between 200-300.

And that includes people who have been here for years, who fought through the Clinton impeachment battles, who fought through the Sore/Loserman battles, who fought to keep Elian safe and sound and in America and who have invested their time and money to keep this site running.

I've been called a rutard, a rudybot, a rudophile, a RINO, a liberal, a baby killer, a gun grabber, a Democrat. and I've had my faith questioned and more, just because I have a different view on the best candidate to lead our party in 2008.

And THAT's just by the Christians, my supposed brothers and sisters in Christ.

I'm making a very strong effort not to criticize the other candidates (okay maybe except for McCain...and Gilmore, but I'm a Virginian). I WILL support the GOP nominee.

I don't CARE who you work for. I don't CARE who you support.

But don't question my values. Don't question my intelligence. Don't question my morals. And DON'T question my faith.

That name calling is actually kind compared to some of the immature third grade names I was called last week because I support Rudy. I'm embarrassed to post what was said to me a few times last week by men who clearly have serious issues with women.

What they don't get is that it says more about them than it does about us.

When I showed my husband, he told me if I ever gave a thin dime to this web site, he'd cut up the credit cards. He's never said that to me before so I'm taking him at his word :-)

Gee, as I recall, in response to the fact that EV worked hard to get a dark-horse conservative elected, you said this:

As we say in the south, even a blind pig finds an acorn every now and then.

Instead of being a big enough man to say "good job".

So don't whine about the tone of things now after you dragged it down a notch yourself.

I don't CARE who you work for. I don't CARE who you support.

Then why do you continually attack me personally, making untrue claims based on ignorance and malice?

If you don't want to have your conservative credentials questioned, don't support pro-abort, anti-Bill of Rights liberals. Seems pretty simple to me.

The internal contradictions in that sentence are self-evident.

Benedict Arnold was the "Hero of Saratoga," right up until the moment he sold out his country.

And THAT's just by the Christians, my supposed brothers and sisters in Christ.

Pro 9:8 Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee.

I'd check myself before I wreck myself

But don't question my values. Don't question my intelligence. Don't question my morals. And DON'T question my faith?

You value a babykilling , homosexual promoting, gun grabber. That is a big deal to most Christians. What are your supposed brothers and sisters in Christ supposed to think about your morals and faith.

A man of faith would ask , and trust God to send a righteous leader.

Corin, my guess is that it's a bit like the "RINOphobes." It's my strong suspicion that those who use the term "RINO" the most aren't Republicans themselves, so use of the term is a bit disingenuous. Ditto those who bash you, or us, for "abandoning" the Christian faith. I suspect most of them aren't actually Christians, other than in some cultural sense, but really have no idea what it means to enter into a personal relationship with God through the grace He bestows in Jesus Christ. I'm willing to discuss, admonish, and challenge, those who want to discuss the role of faith in our political decisions and behavior. But the blind-side attacks on people's faith, simply because they disagree with whom they're supporting for office, is out-of-bounds, IMHO. These cheapshots are also an indication that the Mods here aren't doing their jobs very well. As it says on the disclaimer on FR's homepage, "Opinions expressed on Free Republic are those of the individual posters and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Free Republic or its operators. Please enjoy our forum, but also please remember to use common courtesy when posting and refrain from posting personal attacks, profanity, vulgarity, threats, racial or religious bigotry..." To allow people to assault or question the faith of others, usually in a vulgar and highly offensive manner, appears to be a violation of FR's stated policy, yet the attacks continue nevertheless.
