All the Rudy bashing seems to stem from the fact that he's not for outlawing abortion. We've had a Republican pro-lifer in the White House for six years and a Repbulican House all that time, as well. Abortion is still legal. Even if Roe v. Wade is overturned in the courts, there are still going to be plenty of states who will continue to keep it legal.
Personally, I hope Roe v. Wade is overturned so that it can stop being a national issue every GD election. It's time to return the power of self-determination to the states as the founding fathers intended. But, it's also time we stop voting for or against someone on one issue.
If it were only that.
He's also a proven-gun grabber hostile to the 2nd Amendment. He's pro-amnesty and pro-sanctuary city for illegals. He's pro-CFR and also severely restricted basic 2nd Amendment rights to assemble and protest while mayor of NYC. He's now a believer in human-caused global warming. And there is just an unsavory side emerging about him as well - he tried to get his term extended after 9-11, and also wanted 9-11 monies dumped into one of his companies, the better to get a couple million in administrative fees.
The Rudy boosters would have you believe that Rudy's opponents are single-issue voters. One issue at a time.
"All the Rudy bashing seems to stem from the fact that he's not for outlawing abortion."
There are many more reasons to be concerned about Giuliani.
He is:
Pro abortion
Anti-gun
Pro campaign Finance Reform
Pro Partial Birth Abortion
Pro Embryonic Stem Cell Research
Pro Amnesty/Safe havens for illegal border invaders
Pro Homosexual Civil Unions
...and he has some serious personal character issues.
That, and he's an unabashed gun-grabber.
Abortion and gun control; pincers of genocide.
Uh, no. The Rudy bashing arises from the fact that Rudy is anti - RBKA, pro gay rights, pro abortion and pro-illegal aliens.
Aside from that he's wonderful. < sarcasm off >
