Peter O'Toole has criticised Hollywood actresses for their "vacant" personas, comparing them to "unlit lampposts".
The veteran actor stars alongside British newcomer Jodie Whittaker in new movie Venus, and has lavished praised on his young co-star.
But O'Toole believes the majority of Tinseltown beauties are incapable of having any real depth of character - and would have struggled to fill Whittaker's shoes.
He says: "You look into their eyes and there's no one at home. Oh God help us! It's like looking at an unlit lamppost."

By following the sage's advice, one would not have to look into their eyes.

O'Toole's a raving queen, and has to say, or probably the publicist came up with it, something controversial enough to get his, his co-star's, and his new movie's name into the papers.

O'Toole's a raving queen...What are yout talking about?
To: beaversmom
O'Toole has it right on. I'd say 75% of actresses are idiots with the number being closer to 90% for the well known ones. (This applies to most actors as well.)
I can only think of one that I know isn't an idiot and that is because I've actually met her and listened to her talk for several hours and she is noting like the typical Hollyweird personality.

I call them Mcstars, Mcactresses, and Mcactors. Most all Hollywood stars these days could have anyone could do their roles.
