Description: STP will have an entry in the Fort Collins St. Patrick’s Day Parade, March 17.
The theme is ending the US occupation in Iraq. In preparation for what could be called a “marade” (a combination parade and march), STP is putting out a call for entries. We would like at least 3,000 people to participate but will accept any number of folks who are willing to hit the street in a sincere and heartfelt desire to end the war for oil that has killed over 3,000 young American soldiers and as many as 655,000 Iraqis.
Anyone who wants to march in a contingent is invited to create one. Examples would be: Doctors, Lawyers, Merchant Chiefs, Veterans, Grannies, Musicians, Environmentalists, Social Workers, Unitarians, Congregationalists, Catholics, Lutherans, Quakers, Evangelicals, etc., Democrats, Greens, Libertarians, Republicans, Radical Cheerleaders, Bikers…and so on, all for peace and against this war.
For those who might want to participate, there will be an organizational meeting Saturday, January 27, 1:00 PM at Mugs Coffee House following the College and Mulberry Noon Vigil.
At Mugs you will have a chance to hear about the color options available for the Marade. We will be organizing the following groups especially for March 17 and also possible future action:

That video is just plain disgusting. That is the mentality of the anti-war crowd we are dealing with. I don't think the parade crowd will take to that too kindly if they try to pull off something similar.
The parade rules state entries must have an Irish theme. I'll talk with the mayor today. They can't be in the parade if their permit gets pulled. LOL!
I'd like to see them try that in South Boston.
Hell, don't stay away, get your own float into the parade. If the organizers start seeing this as a protest parade, maybe they'll keep all protest floats out. Of course, one day, hell will freeze over.

Hey, I'm against this war, so much so that I think the aggressors -- anti-democratic insurgents, foreign fascists like al-Qaeda, illegal militias, etc -- should be FORCED to end their war if necessary. So do I get a float?
Oh, wait. Apparently these mass-murderering, mosque-school-marketplace bombing thugs aren't making war. They're only "resisting occupation". (Apparently they're occupied by their own democratically elected government?)
I don't really quite understand this, but it seems we (America) are the only ones responsible for war, even though we're merely allies helping a sovereign government defend itself against aggressive barbarism. The barbarians are not war makers. I think I need to get someone from Code-Pink or STP to explain this to me. I'm not smart enough to cypher it out on my own.
Those Code Pinkers are desperate for attention.
All of this attempted hijacking of parades, working with ANSWER and other despicable groups is an attempt to overwhelm the MSM so that they show only one side of a two-headed coin.
Bad enough that they show only seconds of the patriots, those people want the world to think there are no supporters of the Iraq/Afghanistan/War on Terror and of our military.
