And that is why the rules/regs/laws/whathaveyou on food service can not be compared to permitting or prohibitting smoking. One knows that smoking is permitted in an establishment when one walks in the door because of a) ashtrays tables or b) being asked "smoking or non?"

One does NOT know if proper measures to ensure food safety are being utilized in the kitchen because patrons are not permitted there....thus the need for the rules/regs/laws/whathaveyou.

Why do so many people have such difficulty with this simple concept?
