What'll happen this week?
This thread is posted on a weekly basis during the season and is intended for folks to get together on a family-safe thread, have a little fun and share a little bit about the sport, your favorite drivers and keep the conversation out of the mud and weeds while doing it.

51 teams are registered for the 500. Any bets on how many Toyotas don't make the race? I say 4 go home.
Schrader has the worst luck of drivers who usually run good, but the finish spot makes him look bad.
Being a fellow Missourian, I like Schrader and the Wallaces. But Carl Edwards is our home town hero.
I was competing against him at the local dirt tracks just 5 years ago. One of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
But a very intense driver.
Political correctness will ruin NASCAR like it ruins everything else. The drivers are some of the best paid product spokesbots known to marketing. Decadence is not welcome. But I LOVE racing!

I forwarded that to my uncle, the one I stay with when I go to the race in Dallas. He's a retired Sun engineer (30 years).
And the wife tells me today that her friend wants to know if the boy and I want two tickets to this race (Sunday only) - won them on a radio call in thingy.
Not sure what I'm going to do.....plenty of time to think about it and get my stuff into one pile!
Finally, an Edwards I can root for. Schrader really is much better than his record shows.
This group all had a fairly good race in both last years California races minus Biff. Some in the top ten did not.
Yahoo is basing their rankings on Daytona. But, whatever....I'm not giving away my research. After all it is a race. LOL
It will be interesting to see who can race and who has the top equipment when they're not wrecking all over the track like Daytona.
