You brought a bit of sanity to this thread. While the comments by others were humorous, the fact remains that two people are dead and numerous innocent children will never go to the circus again and will connect the circus with bloody and violent death for the rest of their lives.

I have never enjoyed the circus, either as a child or as an adult, but what was done was more than simple homicide, because the real victims are still alive, but part of each of them is now dead.

And we make stupid jokes about it.

It was a title of an episode of "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" where a clown was killed because an elephant stepped on him at a parade because the clown was dressed like a peanut.

I didn't find the article funny either and was surprised that most people here found it humorous.

Just imagine if these killings happened here in one of our states. I doubt if people would poke fun at the unfortunate clowns in this way.

This was a bad thing to do, but the impulse is understandable. Only mimes are more annoying than clowns.
