That's the argument I tend to use. It's just too hard to keep hundreds and thousands of people quiet.

On the other hand I think islamic terrorist involvement is entirely plausible.

That they'd be willing to do it. Sure.

That they wouldn't crow from the rooftops about their great triumph against the Great Satan. Not a chance.

The issue of this type I find most disturbing is the anthrax case. Not so much that it happened, but that it stopped.

Actually, the lack of a suicide driver in the Ryder truck is more an indication of Iraqi involvement than Islamic terrorists. The degenerate democrat in the WH at the time wanted to squelch anything that indicated failure in the Iraqi policy and might be used to taint administration policy.

I agree, and if it was just a massive screwup, it could be that Islamic terrorists were who they were actually trying to catch.
