Yup.. I can't really blame anyone for trying to grab a piece of a passing gravy train and another shot at the mother lode.. even if he&wifey are doing quite well as lobbyists and such as is.. not sure what his forte is tho, besides BS,, all I remember is obstructionism ..

Who is Tom Dashole and why should we care?

He lost in South Dakota and since then has been spending his wife's "hard earned" lobbying money income on lavish spreads.

His wife is a lobbyist for the Airlines Industry IIRC, and SD is a ag state, so Transportation Sec or Ag Sec is most logical, low key, big bucks guess........

Barack Hussain Obama doesn't even have the personal will power to stop chain smoking cigarettes.........

yet we would trust this guy to be PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES?

I rather doubt it.

Daschle: "I want my friends here who are still politically active to vote for Barack Obama."

* * *

Well, that should help. Quick, get Baghdad Bob on the phone and let's hear who he endorses.

Someday I`ll understand why politicians need to have photos of themselves holding babies, but for now it`s just one of those mysteries that flys right over my head.

Not a good sign for Barak. If he's not careful he'll get Al Gore's endorsement next.

Tom Daschle remarked to curious reporters who had
gathered: "Someone told me it was Groundhog Day."

Soon Hillary will call Daschle and voice her displeasure.
Daschle will be deeply saddened.

We'll see. Howard Dean seemed to have all the momentum much later in the game than this.

Better yet, his wife,

"The national press corps didn’t bother to tell you why Tom Daschle, the Democrats’ Senate leader, decided at the 11th hour not to run for president: In the end, he calculated that he couldn’t survive scrutiny of his persistent service to the clients of his wife. Linda Daschle has been one of the airline industry’s top lobbyists for two decades — when she wasn’t busy running the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which explains why, just 11 days after the 9/11 attacks, her husband rushed through the Democratic Senate, which he controlled, the $15 billion bailout for the airline industry, a notorious taxpayer rip-off.

Right after then-Congressman Tom Daschle dumped his first wife for a younger, prettier one, the former Miss Kansas Linda Daschle went to work as chief lobbyist for the Air Transport Association, the airline industry’s main lobby; she then became the senior vice president of the American Association of Airport Executives; and these days hangs her hat at the pricey top Washington law/lobby shop Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell, headed by former GOP Senate leader and ex–Reagan chief of staff Howard Baker — where she peddles influence on behalf of a long list of lucrative aviation clients."
